摘　　要：工程保证担保制度是一种国际惯例,是一种维护建筑市场秩序,促使建设各方守信履约,实现公开、公正、公平的风险管理机制。本文就工程保证担保的含义、历史背景和国际、国内现状以及在国内实践中的作用进行论述。As international convention, the surety bond in engineering is a kind of risk management mechanism to maintain the order of construction market, obligate each side to carry out one抯 word and keep the contract, and realize the open, just and fair environment. This paper discusses the engineering surety bond from four aspects including the connotation, historical background, current situation in China and foreign countries, and the function in domestic practices.
