摘　　要：分析了竹子的生态和环境效益,从"以竹代木"保护森林资源、带动西部山区生态环境建设、支撑"退耕还林"和"天然林保护"工程、竹产业可持续发展等方面,论述了开发竹浆产业实现竹材综合利用、推进现代竹产业发展,把生态环境建设和产业开发有机结合,实现资源培育和利用的良性循环,实现西部山区社会、生态、经济可持续发展的战略.Bamboo is a kind of very important forest resource, its ecological environmental benefits in the west mountainous regions in China was analyzed. In the light of the great importance of forest resource protection by 'substituting bamboo for wood', environmental construction promotion in the west mountainous regions, accomplishment of the programs of 'returning farmland to forests' and 'natural forest conservation' and the sustainable development of bamboo industry, the strategy that developing bamboo pulp industry for integrated utilization of bamboo plants, combining the industry development with ecological improvement was elaborated to realize the rational circulation of resource nurture and utilization, and to fulfill the sustainable development of society, ecology and economy in the west mountainous regions in China.
