摘　　要：本文分析了几种在西方颇有影响的人口与经济发展的经典理论 ,主要包括悲观主义和乐观主义的人口经济理论、经济适度人口理论、可持续发展理论、人力资本理论以及新经济增长理论等 ,并由此获得了几点重要启示。The classical theories about the western population and economic development are the basis of dealing correctly with the relationship between population and economy,between population and economic development coordinately.This essay analyzes emphatically several kinds of the classical theories on population and economic development,which have considerable influence in the West. These theories consist of the population theory being pessimistic and optimistic,that of economy being moderae,the theory being steady developmental,the theory of human capital and the theory of new economic increase,etc.According to the theories mentioned above a few important enlightening guidances can be gained.
