摘　　要：通过JPL提供的材料和实际应用的感受 ,分别介绍了ASTER的光学子系统、数据、应用和数据申请过程。根据“美国全球变化研究法案” ,科研人员可以方便地 ,甚至免费获得ASTER数据。这些高质量的数据能为全球变化、土地利用、自然灾害等领域的研究提供高质量的信息。对ASTER本身及获得这些数据的过程做一个全面了解 ,对研究工作中选择、使用合适的数据资料以及缩短数据收集周期能起到帮助 ,对中国遥感技术应用研究也能起到有效的推动作用。The paper gives a general introduction to ASTER data, including 3 optical subsystems, data, application and the process of ordering data. Because of the U.S. Global Change Research Act of 1990, researchers are permitted to get the data, even free. The high quality data will offer abundant information for the research areas: global changing, LUCC, nature disaster and so on. Therefore, a general introduction to ASTER data and ASTER mission are necessary for future research.
