摘　　要：外语系资料室的服务工作是外语教学和科研工作的重要组成部分,其服务质量的好坏直接影响着教师的教学能力和科研水平的提高。从文献资源的建设、导读工作的开展、资料员素质的提高和资料室环境的营造等方面探讨了搞好外语系资料室读者服务工作的有效途径。The service work of the reference room is an important component p ar t of the foreign language teaching and scientific research work in Foreign Langu ages Dept., the service quality of which has direct influence on the increase of teachers' teaching ability and scientific research level. This paper probes int o the effective ways for doing well the reader service work of the reference roo m of the Foreign Language Dept., from aspects of the construction of the literat ure resources, the development of the reading guidance work, the improvement of librarians' quality, and the construction of the environment of the reference ro om, etc.
