摘　　要：本文介绍了大学英语四、六级考试作文网上阅卷系统(原型)的应用情况。14名阅卷员在网上和传统方式下两次批阅了从9所大学考生中随机抽取的1，341篇作文(2002年6月考次)。结果显示网上阅卷评出分数的信度高于传统阅卷评出分数的信度。本文认为，在局域网上实施大学英语四、六级考试作文网上阅卷是可行的。This paper reports an experiment in which the prototype CET Online Essay Marking System was operationalized. Fourteen experienced CET raters marked a stratified random sample of 1,341 compositions from the June 2002 administration of the CET. The essays were selected from nine universities and colleges located in Shanghai. All the selected compositions were first scanned as images and then stored in the System server. The participating raters marked these essays in two steps, first in a Local Area Network (LAN) setting, and then in traditional conference marking rooms. Results indicated that reliability estimates favored the online marking method. It was concluded that it was feasible to implement online marking of CET compositions in an LAN setting.
