摘　　要：栗雪片象危害各品种的板栗,造成板栗成熟前大量落苞而减产,一般减产30%,最高可达60%以上。此虫1年1代,以老熟幼虫在落苞内越冬,翌年4月化蛹,5月成虫离苞上树,6月交尾产卵,8月蛀苞为害,10月幼虫老熟并留在栗实内越冬。在成虫羽化至产卵期用药剂防治,成虫致死可达95%以上,且多种药剂都有防治效果。Snowflake curculio(Niphades castagnea Chao) does damage to various cultivars of Chinese chestnut.The output of Chinese chestnut was reduced greatly because of heavy fruit dropping caused by snowflake curculio.The average of reduced output was about 30 percent of normal yield and the highest one could be more than 60 percent of normal yield.Snowflake curculio,one generation per year,overwinters in the capsules of chestnut as grown larva,and become cocoon in April of next year. The adults leave the capsules to trees in May,and match and lay eggs in June.Its vulnerable period was from eclosion to egg laying stage when many pesticides were used and efficient controlling results could be achieved.The mortality of snowflake curculio could reach more than 95 percent.
