摘　　要：“三个代表”精辟地揭示了党的先进性的具体内涵,明确地指出了发挥党的先进性的现实途径,系统地提出了保持党的先进性的根本措施,是对党的先进性的新的完整概括。它系统地回答了在新世纪“建设一个什么样的党和如何建设党”这个核心问题,为全面推进新世纪党的建设,提高党的领导水平和执政能力,增强防腐拒变和抵御风险的能力指明了方向。By precisely defining the specific connotations of the party's progressiveness,accurately pointing out realistic ways to exploit the progressiveness,and systematically proposing essential measures for maintaining the progressiveness,the theory of'three representatives' constitutes a new and complete summary of the party's progressiveness, and therefore provides keys to the question of what kind of a party should be built and how to build it in the new century.It shows the direction to fully promoting the great project of the party's construction,improving the party's leadership and enforcing the anticorruption drive as well as protecting the party against any possible risks in the new century.
