摘  要:In this paper a layered space-time OFDM (Orthogonal frequency-divlslon multiplexing) system is proposed to provide a diversity gain for the MIMO (Multiple input multiple output) channels and alleviate the frequency-selective fading effect. At the receiver, an algorithm of suppressing and canceling interference among layers is employed to overcome multiuser interference and provide reliable high data rate multiuser communications over wideband wireless channels. And this system is used to transmit scalable MPEG-4 video. A raw video is compressed by the spatially scalable MPEG-4 encoder and partitioned into layers with different priorities, and an unequal error protection provided by the system structure is employed to provide different levels of protection to different layers. At the receiver videos in different spatial resolutions can be produced. The simulation results show that the proposed system has very good transmission performance.
