摘　　要：语篇中的情态系统一直是语言学研究的热点之一.而情态方面的语法隐喻更是系统功能语法的重要研究领域之一.本文认为,与情态一致式不同的是,情态隐喻可以体现语篇中复杂的语义内涵,而正因为如此,其建构的过程也相当复杂.本文在功能语法的基础上提出,社会认知因素对情态隐喻的建构具有重要作用.新闻报导的体裁具有一定的特殊性,因此,其情态隐喻的体现系统较其它语篇更为繁杂.Modality metaphor, as a research field of Systemic — unctional Grammar, has aroused researchers' attention in recent years. This paper admits that modality metaphor, different from congruent modality, can realize complicated meaning potential, and it is just for this reason that the construction process of modality metaphor is quite complicated. Based on functional grammar, this paper focuses on the functions of social and cognitive factors throughout the construction process of modality metaphor. News reports, because of their particular features, further reinforce the theory and the complicated process of realization for modality metaphor.
