摘　　要：南通人的精神文化素质和现实发展状况值得反思。南通人的精神重塑很重要的一点就是要增进公民人格追求的共识。南通人的全面发展最根本的是要更新观念 ,具有与时俱进的品质 ,坚持“富民为先 ,创新为要 ,诚信为本 ,团结为重”的“四为精神” ,优化人的全面发展的社会环境、自然生态环境和社会教化。It is worthwhile to reflect on the Nantonese ideological and cultural qualities and the present status for development. One major concern in the re-moldering of the Nantonese ideology is to reach a consensus on the pursuit of sound personality. The key to the all-round development lies in the renovation of concept and ideology, advances with the times, adherence to 'the Four Essences', optimization of the social and cultural contexts and natural ecological environment.
