摘　　要：在 1 90 0年义和团事件过程中 ,八国联军、西方传教士和外交团成员在北京和直隶地区进行了各种形式的劫掠活动。这些劫掠活动以及对劫掠物品的处理方式 ,引起了欧美媒体的关注。一些作者在谴责列强劫掠行为的同时 ,对西方文明内部的野蛮行为进行了道德批评和反省 。During the Yihetuan Movement of 1900, the Eight-power Allied Forces (troops sent by Britain, the United States, Germany, France, Tsarist Russia, Japan, Italy and Austria to suppress the “Boxers”), West missionaries and diplomats carried out various forms of looting and plundering in Beijing and Zhili. This unbridled plundering, and the disposal of booty, caused concern among the European and American media. Some, while condemning the aggressive powers, morally criticized and reflected on the West's internal barbarism, raising major questions about relations between racial difference and the civilization process.
