Objective:To study the changes of trace elements in pathologic scars.Method:DCP-AES was used to determine the contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in:①Keloids、hypertrophic scars、flat scars and normal skins;②Skins of keloid patients、skins of hypertrophic scar patients;③The central and marginal portion of keloids and hypertrophic scars.Result:There were significant statistical decrease in contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in keloids and hypertrophic scars in comparison with flat scars and normal skins, but no significant statistical changes in contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in keloids and flat scars in comparison with hypertrophic scars and normal skins; There were no difference between the contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in skins of keliod patients、skins of hypertrophic scar patients and normal skins; The contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in keloids and hypertrophic scars were significantly lower than those in skins of the same patients; The contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in central portion of keloids were higher than those in marginal portion, while the contents of Zn、Cu、Fe、Mn、Se in central portion of hypertrophic scars were same as those in marginal portion. Conclusion:The changes of trace elements in keloids and hypertrophic scars may correlate with excessive proliferation of pathologic scars.
