摘　　要：In western art history, there were twotrends of geometrizing and simplification.The first event occured in WWI. Russianartist Kasimir Malevich set up suprematismand affected other artists in Russia to formDe Stijl, which was shown greatly in de-sign and architecture. The other eventcalled Minimalism happened in the 60s inAmerica.
