摘　　要：文化是城市的灵魂,城市的文化是城市人的精神依靠,没有文化的城市其地位和吸引力也受到制约,新兴的城市都在试图创造自己的文化。通过公共艺术来反映城市的文化,使公共艺术成为城市文化的代言,公共艺术在这方面的职能是不可替代的。但是珠三角的城市必须警惕并制止邢种粗制滥造的城市公共艺术,根据当代的艺术理念,在城市公共艺术与文化建设中体现天人合一的审美追求。Culture is the soul of city, the culture of city is the home of soul to citizen. A city with no culture has no charm. The new city must create its culture. Public art is the symbol of the culture of city, nothing can in place of it. But we must stop developing public art with no aesthetic. According to the principle of contemporary art, the culture of city and public art must pursuit to the people concert with the nature.
