东西方人文传统与图书馆读者工作  

The Tradition of Humanism and Its Implication for Library Services: A Comparison between the East and the West

摘　　要：在西方人文主义理念下,读者工作应了解每位读者不同的个体需求并通过馆员的优质服务使之得到满足,而在中国人文传统理念下,读者工作则应努力创建馆员之间、馆员与读者之间的互爱互信互尊互谅。图书馆读者工作应将东西方人文传统融会贯通,在更高的层面上体现人文精神。This paper compares the understanding of humanism embodied in the eastern and western traditions, noting that while the western humanism centers on individuals, its eastern counterpart stresses very much the relationship between individuals. The implication of both traditions for library services is discussed.
