摘　　要：GPRS是在GSM体制基础上发展起来的一种新型通用分组无线业务。首先指出了GPRS的特点,然后根据东方热电公司供热管网的实际情况,成功地通过GPRS网络建立了供热管网远程数据采集监控系统,解决了该公司原有监控系统存在的问题,并进一步分析了该系统的可行性、经济性和优越性。General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) is a new service based on GSM. This article introduces the characteristics of GPRS firstly, then introduces a successful case of GPRS application in a thermoelectric company. In that case, people constructed a remote data collection monitor system for the company's network, which solved the problems in old monitor system. The article also analyzes feasibility, economy and advantages of the system.
