摘　　要：许多大学生在写作时中心不明确或思路不清晰，给人一种词汇堆砌的感觉。其原因主要是许多学生在写作时不会拟定主题句。而主题句的制定是写好文章的关键。本文就如何构思、如何拟定及如何完善主题句提出一系列建议，希望和同仁及对英文写作感兴趣的师生交流、磋商。The English compositions by college students generally leave much to be desired, the reason of which lies in the fact that many of the students do not know how to conceive a thesis sentence. The discussion of this article focuses on how to form, how to revise and how to perfect a thesis sentence.
