摘　　要：20 0 0年 11月 ,UGINE&ALZ授予奥钢联改造其炼钢厂的合同 ,其中包括将现有年产 6 0万t的单流板坯连铸机改造成年产 12 0万t、可单流或双流浇铸的铸机。这将是世界上最大的不锈钢板坯连铸机。所有改造和安装工作必须在 2 1天内完成以减少生产损失。In November, 2000 the Belg ian stainless-steel producer UGINE & ALZ Belgium nv,a company of the Arcelor Group,awarded VAI a contra ct for the upgrading and expansion of their steelmaking plant.An esse ntial part of this ambitious moder nization program was the upgrading and expansion of the existing sing le-strand slab caster,with an outp ut of 600 000 t/a,to a combined sin gle-or twin-strand slab caster wit h a nominal production capacity of 1.2 million tons-the world's large st stainless-steel slab caster.All upgrading and installation activit ies had to be carried out within a n extremely tight caster shut-down period of 21 days only in order to minimize production losses.
