摘　　要：语言歧义现象已引起广泛关注。本文就英语中歧义现象进行分析和总结,根据产生歧义的不同原因将其归结为四个方面:语音歧义、词汇歧义、语法歧义和语境歧义,并从语义和语用的角度探讨了排除歧义的方法。The ambiguous phenomena in language have been widely taken into consideration. This paper makes a comprehensive analysis to the ambiguous structures in English and classifies categories of them based on the different causes: phonological ambiguity,lexical(semantic) ambiguity, grammatical (syntactic) ambiguity and pragmatic ambiguity。 This paper also tries to come up with some methods of how to decode these ambiguous structures from semantic and pragmatic perspectives.
