摘　　要：词语误用是一种特殊的语言现象,但其作为一种修辞方式尚未引起修辞学界的高度重视。明晰词语误用的概念类涵、表现形式及语用效果,有助于英语学习者关注词语误用在文学作品、新闻报道、商品广告和日常生活中的积极作用。Malapropism, a special language phenomenon as well as a kind of rhetoric method, has not yet caused enough attention is rhetoric circles. By the study and analysis of quotations from some famous writers, a brief account is given of the definition of malapropism and its features and its semantic functions so that it can help the English learners to be sensitive to the positive roles of the malapropism in the literature work, news reports, merchandise advertisement and even in the daily life.
