摘　　要：图书馆作为一个原本就从事文献与信息整序的“知识管理”领域, 要更新传统管理思想, 积极吸收现代“知识管理”思想, 对于推动科技进步与科技创新步伐, 其意义是深远的。“知识管理”应是中国图书馆管理变革的必然选择。新的形势下, 图书馆的结构和功能将面临着新的变化, 文章通过对图书馆与知识管理关系的分析, 阐述了现代化图书馆的结构与功能的状况和发展趋势。As an “information management ” field specialized in arranging a great variety of literature and information , there is an urgent need to renew the traditional idea on library management and to initiatively draw on the modern idea of “information management”. This will definitely promote the scientific progress and innovation in this field and will achieve great significance henceforth . It is of great necessity to adopt“information management”in the reform of China's library management . Under such new circumstances ,the structure as well as the function of the library will be confronted with many new chances and challenges . This paper elaborates the present status of the structure and the function of China's library , and predicts the tendency of its development through an analysis of the relationship between library and information management .
