摘　　要：随着地理信息系统(GIS)技术在各个应用领域的推广使用,GIS技术与地理空间信息的表示、处理、分析和应用手段的不断发展紧密相连,形成了各种不同功能的GIS系统软件。介绍了GIS的定义,分析了当前GIS的应用方向和发展状况,并着重阐述了GIS今后的发展趋势及其应用领域。With abroad application of GIS technology in every application field, different functional GIS software were formed on the base of close contact between GIS technology and ceaseless development of express,disposal,analyse and application measure of geographic space information. This paper introduced the definition of GIS and analyzed the application direction and development of today's GIS,emphasized the future development trend of GIS and its application field
