摘　　要：在基督教与现代科学兴起之间的关系上,迪昂的观点是开创性的。他认为基督教对现代科学的兴起是完全必要的,具体表现为:基督教的理性批判精神产生了适合现代科学兴起的思想氛围,中世纪的知识分子在科学方面是有创造性的,文艺复兴时期的科学天才们在科学研究方面具有继承性。迪昂的观点改变了人们对"黑暗中世纪"的基本看法。Duhem's viewpoints on Christianity are inaugurated in the relationship between Christianity and the rise of modern science. Duhem considers that Christianity is an entirely necessary factor for the rise of modern science,and the following three reasons will tell why. (l)The rational critical spirit of Christianity has made an idealistic atmosphere to the rise of modern science; (2)The intellectuals of the Middle Age is creative in the science; (3)The gifted scientists in the Revival Learning is inherited in science, thus it has changed the basic viewpoints on the 'dark Middle Age'.
