摘　　要：螳螂Mantodea因其卵鞘———桑螵蛸可入药,而成为我国中医史上知名的药用昆虫之一;螳螂还是重要的天敌昆虫,在农林害虫的生物防治方面具有较大的开发应用价值。本文对我国螳螂目昆虫形态学、生物学、分类学等基础研究以及药用、食用、观赏用、生物防治中的天敌利用等应用研究的进展进行了综述,并对其应用前景进行了展望。The ootheca mantids can be used as medicine and Mantodea has been one of the most famous medicinal insects for many years,and Mantodea is one of the most important natural enemies for many pests.The basic research of its morphological,biological,taxonomical characters and the application of it as medicinal insects,edible insects,view and admiring insects,natural enemy and so on are reviewed in this paper.The urgent problems and the value of further study are also put forward.
