摘　　要：20 0 3年 6月印度前总理瓦杰帕伊访华期间 ,中印两国共同签署了关于经由西藏与锡金之间的乃堆拉山口 (Nathula)进行边贸活动的谅解备忘录。由于乃堆拉山口具备了重要的经济价值 ,因此它的开放必将对西藏与南亚边境贸易的发展带来一定的影响。本文对这一问题进行了初步的探讨和分析。Vajpayee’s visit to China in June 2003 highlighted a new height in the bilateral relations and achieved some results, among which is the memorandum on opening the Nathula Pass linking Sikkim and Tibet to facilitate the border trade. The re-opening passage, due to its special traffic significance, will certainly produce positive impacts on the economic interactions along the border between Chinese Tibet and South Asia.
