An Efficient Routing Algorithm in Ad Hoc Networks

摘　　要：The Dynamic source routing protocol(DSR) is an on-demand routing protocol, designed specifically for use in multi-hop wireless ad hoc networks of mobile nodes. In this paper, some mechanisms such as the route's lifetime prediction, route’s creation time and an adaptive gratuitous route reply mode are introduced into DSR to get an efficient routing algorithm which is refered to E-DSR. The simulation results show that E-DSR can improve the packet delivery rate and reduce the routing overhead compared with hop-based DSR.
