摘　　要：数据库管理系统是一种技术十分成熟、应用非常广泛的系统,而XML是一种发展势头良好的新兴的数据管理手段。在数据管理上,XML技术和数据库技术各有优势和不足,对这两种技术的融合和扬长避短就促成了XML和数据库的结合技术的发展。该文根据本单位设计和实现XML和数据库数据转换中间件的理论和实践知识,对XML和数据库结合技术进行探讨。The database management system has developed as a mature and widely used technology. And XML is a very effective tool to manage data. Comparatively, they both have advantages and disadvantages, thus the technology of combining XML and database to manage and manipulate data emerges, which takes the advantages of XML and database. This paper mainly demonstrates XML-DBMS data transferring middleware and introduces other technology of combining XML and database by the way.
