摘　　要：本文论述了苏州滩簧的一支———“后滩”的体例和艺术特征 ,论证了“后滩”与近代趣剧、独角戏艺术有着结构形式、艺术终极目标和表演方式的完全一致性 ,它与趣剧、独角戏一起缔造了近代的新剧种———滑稽戏。故苏州滩簧之“后滩” ,乃是近代滑稽艺术之母。The paper expounds the style and artistic characters of houtan, one form of tanhuang play of Suzhou practised in south Jiangsu and north Zhejiang. It also proves the complete unity of structure form,artistic ultimate aim and performing way between houtan and modern farce and monodrama art.As a new modern type of drama, farce is originated from the three forms of arts.So houtan of tanhuang play of Suzhou is the mother of modern farce art.
