从功能类型学的标记理论看英语主位的标记模式

摘　　要：关于主位的标记特征 ,国内外学者做过不同程度的关注 ,他们的研究无疑深化了人们对主位标记模式的认识。但是 ,学者们的观点看法尚有诸多不统一处 ,孰是孰非 ,令人无所适从。本文作者通过研究发现 ,从功能类型学的标记理论角度审视英语主位的标记模式 ,能够得到一个更合理的诠释 ,这种诠释有助于我们准确把握话语中通过主位表达的蕴涵之意 。The markedness of Theme in English has been explored by many foreign and domestic scholars. There is no doubt that their studies have helped to further our understanding of the markedness patterns of Theme in English. However, these studies are not consistent at all, which makes it diffcult to decide which to follow. The authors of this paper have found that a more acceptable and justifiable exposition can be obtained if we approach this topic from the perspective of functional typological marking theory. Such an exposition can be of help in our choice of Theme to express accurately what we mean as well as in our understanding of the implied meaning expressed through the choice of Theme.
