摘　　要：文章介绍了3G和WLAN的标准和技术发展现状,并分别对3G和WLAN的发展前景进行了分析;重点探讨了3G和WLAN之间竞争和兼容的关系,指出3G和WLAN技术的充分融合是未来通信发展的必然趋势。This paper introduces the standardization and technology development of 3G and WLAN, and analyzes the domestic and overseas foregrounds of them. An emphasis is put on the relationship of compatibility and competition between 3G and WLAN, and finally this paper presents that the complete convergence of 3G and WLAN is an inevitable trend in future communication development process.
