摘  要:目的 研究孕酮对沙土鼠前脑缺血海马受损神经元的保护作用。方法 采用同时夹闭双侧颈总动脉制成沙土鼠前脑缺血动物模型 ,测定腹腔注射孕酮后海马CA1区锥体细胞层神经元数目的变化。结果 前脑缺血组沙土鼠海马CA1区锥体细胞层神经元数目明显丢失 ,CA3区和齿状回相应层次的神经元数无明显变化。前脑缺血再灌注后腹腔注射孕酮可使海马CA1区锥体细胞层神经元丢失明显减少。结论 孕酮对脑缺血所引起的神经元损伤具有明显的神经保护作用。Objective To study the neuroprotection of progesterone on the hippocampal neurons of gerbil following transient forebrain ischemia.Methods Cerebral ischemia was produced by clipping the bilateral common carotid arteries as previously report,and the coronal sections stained with H&E or thionin were examined by light microscopy after treatment of progesterone(i.p).Results In the cerebral ischemia group,the number of surviving cells in dorsal hippocampal CA1 was decreased significantly compared with the sham-operated animals 7 days after ischemia,but no significant change was seen in stratum pyramidale of CA3,of ventral hippocampal CA1 and the granule cell layer of dentate gyrus.The number of surviving cells in dorsal hippocampal CA1 of progesterone treated group was significantly higher than that in cerebral ischemic group.Conclusion Progesterone is neuroprotective on the hippocampal neurons of gerbil following transient forebrain ischemia.
