By using nutrient solution with different concentration of neutral saIt(NaCl)and alkaline salt(Na2CO3)to simulate soil salinlzation, the plant growth, phyto一physiology and metabolism of Aneurolepidiumchinense were observed and analysed , and meantimely its corresponding mathematical models were deter-mined.The results showed that Aneurolepidium chinense was adapted to saliniztion by the stress tolerances ofboth neutral salts and alkaline salts altogether, where salt stresses were acted on cell membrane at first, andthen the grass seedling absorbed the inorganic ion for permeability regulation。With the increasing of salt stre-sses,accumulating proline mainly offered great effect on regulating cell permeability to a certain extent.Thephysiological effect of Aneurolepidium chinense seedling on neutral and alkaline stresses was somewhat differentin significance level. It showed that the grass species seedling for trial was more sensitive to neutral saIt stre-ss and relatively less sensitive to alkaline salt stress whenever under low salt con cen tration sol ution,Butthese two different kinds of salts, either neutral or alkaline, all did much greater harm to AneurolepidiumChinense seedling under high salt concentration solution,Especially, the harm done by alkahlin salt was moreserious, because under alkaline stress, not only Na+,but also high pH,all tended to show similar effect onthe grass species tested。
