摘　　要：归纳总结了红蚧科形态特征，建立了红蚧亚科和苞红蚧新亚科，讨论了各属的分类历史。根据形态特征和寄主特点提供了世界各现代属雌成虫和１龄若虫的检索表。Kermesidae in China is revised for the first time. Redescription of the microscopic characters of slide--mounted, newly--molted adult females, adult males, first instar nymphs and external characters of the post--reproductive females is made. Two subfamilies, Kermesinae and Reynvaaniinae, and new subfamilies, are proposed and described. Kermesinae is an one, including genus Kermes Boitard and 3 near genera, Allokerlnes Bullington etKosztarab, Nanokerms Bullington et Kosztarab, Olli.ffiella Cockerell, and Reynvaaniinae is-primitive, including 5 genera, Fulbrightia Ferris, Nidunalia Targioni--Tozzetti,Physeriococcus Borchsenius, Reynvaania Reyne and Sucinikermes Koteja. Family assignments of the nine genera of Kermesidae are discussed. Characters of their adult females'and first instar nymphs' morphology, also of their generus--specific feeding parts are utilized in the preparation of 2 keys to separate the modern word genera of Kermesidae.
