In this paper, we give an efficient rezoning method in the triangular mesh. It automatically determines the rezoning cycle and the rezoning regions of the severely distortedmesh and fulfills the rezoning process automatically to enable the Lagrangian type method of triangular mesh to treat problems with severe distortion. The method was programmed into the triangular Lagrangian finite volume method code (TLEPFP) for computing the hypervelocity impact problems.
