摘　　要：作者在整理采自江西省的蝗虫标本时．发现竹蝗属一新种，现报道如下。模式标本保存于山东大学生物系无脊椎动物标本室．In this paper a new species of the genus Ceracris Walker is described.The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology,Shandong University. Ceracris jiangxiensis Wang,sp.nov.(Fig.1-8) This new spccics is similar to Ceracris ho ffmanni Uvarov,but differs in :1.the hind femora orange-red;2.length of segment at middle of antenna about 2.5 times longer than width;3.eyes larger,vertical diameter about 2-2.5 times longer than subocular suture;4. length of prozona about 1.4-1.5 times longer than metazona;5.interspace of mesosternum narrower,inner margin of lateral lobe of mesosternum curved,their length about 2-2.2 times width;6.epiphailus different in shape. Holotype ♂,allotype♀,paratypes 2♂ ♀1♀,Xinyu,Jiangxi Province;Sept.16,1991, collected by Liao Zhenggen.
