摘　　要：通过考察比较我国高等教育与美国高等教育在教学质量保障与控制、教师队伍建设与发展上的差异,可以看到,美国研究型大学实行的大学独立自治与协会协调游说相联系,政府宏观调控和社会舆论监督相配合,学术自由与制度约束相匹配,学校教学、科研、服务相结合,关注学生发展,关心教师成长,保持学校特色和传统,重视教学质量与声誉的一套较为完善的管理体制和运行机制,有力促进了美国高等教育的发展。After observing and comparing the differences on the control of education quality and development of faculties between China and America, it is clear that in the American universities, there are a package of management and operation systems including the complementation of university's independence and autonomy and association's lobby and negotiation, the conjugation of governmental macro control and public opinion and supervision, blending of academic freedom and institutional regulation, combination of teaching, research and service, concern about student and teacher development, maintaining uniqueness and traditions, and emphasis on quality and prestige. All of these guarantee the sound and sustainable development of American Universities.
