摘　　要：For a rope made of hygroscopic fibres, though there exists slight difference between the moisture regains balanced through humidifying and dehumidifying processes respectively, no substantial influence of the difference is found on such properties as linear density, breaking strenth, diameter, circunference and the length of lay. so, it is not necessary to conduct noisture pretreatment before the conditioning of specimens.For a rope made of hygroscopic fibres, though there exists slight difference between the moisture regains balanced through humidifying and dehumidifying processes respectively, no substantial influence of the difference is found on such properties, as linear density, breaking strenth, diameter, circunference and the length of lay. so, it is not necessary to conduct noisture pretreatment before the conditioning of specimens.
