摘　　要：本文首先介绍Linux平台和KylixRAD工具的特点 ,然后详述在Linux下自行开发的地理信息系统的数据库设计和功能模块 ,本系统的空间数据库采用OracleSpatial对象 -关系模型 ,功能模块包括数据输入与转换、数据更新、数据库管理、查询与分析以及数据输出。最后得出结论 :基于Linux平台下的地理信息系统软件的开发 。At first,this paper analyzes the characteristics of Linux and Kylix,which is a kind of RAD tools,and describes detailed the database-design and function models of the system which is Geographical Information System developed by author based on Linux.The spatial database of this system is used the Object-Relational Model of Oracle Spatial,and it has five functional models including Input Model,Edit Model,Database Management Model,Query&Analisis Model and Output Model.Finally we can draw a conclusion that it is feasible and practical to develop GIS on Linux.
