摘　　要：震惊全国压力容器工程界的1979年末的“吉林球罐”爆炸事故,是因制造安装质量差、违章操作和安全管理不当所至的。事后引起了劳动监察、设计、科研、制造、安装、使用和检测等诸方面对容器在役安全的重视。当时在劳动监察和工业主管部门的领导下,开始了全国性的“球罐开罐检查”工作。为解决“开罐容易闭罐难”的问题,国家劳动监察部门从全国的实际出发,提出了在开罐过程中“The paper reviewed the state and the results of managing pressure vessels in the recent years. It also analyzed the existing problems and presented the opinions concerning the research direction on the basis of quality of pressure vessels before being put into operation, inspection during operation,effect of structure and connected pipes on vessel safety ,not strict points in operation management ,etc
