摘　　要：本文介绍了液晶显示器的发展趋势和前景。本文着重阐述了用于LCD背光源的冷阴极荧光灯（CCF）,金属卤化物灯等,同时叙述了液晶投影电视对背光源的要求和金属卤化物灯的适用性以及用于背光源的金属卤化物灯的结构特点,文章还从技术上对金属卤化物灯作了详细的评述。The present paper introduces development trends and prospects of LCDs. This paper mainly describes cold cathode flourescent lamps (CCF), metal halide lamps, etc. , and describes the requirements for light source LC projection TV and the availability of metal halide lamps. The paper describes the charateristics of metal halide lamps for backlight, and gives a detailed discussion on the basis of technique.
