摘　　要：本文介绍了《规范汉字表》研制过程中对异体字问题的思考和对异体字处理的初步意见。文章重点论述了异体字的定义问题;介绍了《规范汉字表》对异体字的处理原则和拟收入的异体字;说明了《规范汉字表》对《第一批异体字整理表》所收异体字的处理。The article introduces how the variant forms are dealt with during the development of The Table of Normalized Chinese Characters, and addresses oneself to how the variant forms of a Chinese character is defined, and how the variant forms from The List of the First Series of Standardized Variant Forms are dealt with in The List of Standardized Chinese Characters.
