摘　　要：本文介绍了过去40多年学界对英语负极词的研究和相关理论,指出负极词现象受多个语法层次或语法因素的影响,句法、语义、语用接口模型似乎更具解释力.同时,也正因为如此,对负极词的研究具有重大的理论意义.The paper provides a survey for the study of “NPIs” (negative polarity item) with special reference to “any”. The most prominent property of “any” is its polarity sensitivity, and two questions arise here: (1) how “any” can be licensed and (2) why it displays such a property. The paper also calls for more systematic research of NPIs in Chinese.
