摘　　要：汞弧光放电是一种低气压气体放电现象,放电电流密度大。利用这放电现象制成的一种真空电子器件即引燃管,具有耐压高、功率大、电流上升速度快等特点。这种开关管在高功率脉冲装置中应用,其效果良好。文中叙述了弧光放电的过程和特征、引燃管的特点、引燃方式、结构特点及其应用。The discharge of mercury arc is electric discharge phenomena of low pressure gas and the current density is great. A vacuum electron device made by the discharging currnt,that is,ignitron,has the features of resistance to high pressure, high power and fast current rise. The igniton which is used in high power pulse device has achieved good results. The procedure and characteristic of the arc discharge,feature of ignitron,firing way,structure features and its application are described in the paper.
