摘　　要：多毛宽漠甲(Sternoplax setosa setosa)是蒙新区西部荒漠亚区拟步甲科昆虫的优势种类之一,2～3 a发生1代,以成虫和不同龄期的幼虫越冬,成虫4月上旬至9月中旬交配产卵,卵期12～15 d.幼虫6～8龄,幼虫期1～2 a.春季和初夏产卵孵化的幼虫可于次年6月中旬至8月中旬化蛹,其他幼虫到第3年6月中旬至8月中旬化蛹.蛹前期6～8 d,蛹期10～13 d.羽化成虫经220～280 d性成熟,开始交配产卵.Morphological characters, living habits and life cycle of Sternoplax setosa setosa are described In this paper. Sternoplax setosa setosa is one of dominant insect species of Tenebrionidae in Ningxia region. It is known that Sternoplax setosa setosa completes one generation in 2 years or 3 years in labosatory condition. This insect hibernates with adult and larva of different instars in soil and has generations overlapping. The egg appears from the early-April to mid-September, the egg stage is 12~15 days. In general, the larva has 6 or!8 instars, and the larva stage is during 1 or 2 years. Some of the exarate pupas pupate from the middle ten days of June to the middle ten days of August in next year, but some of the exarate pupas appear from the middle ten days of June to the middle ten days of August in the third year. The pre-pupa stage is during 6 to 8 days, and the pupa stage is during 10 to 13 days. The adult begins to mate and oviposit after developing to sex mature for 220 to 280 days.
