摘　　要：精神探寻是40年代小说创作的突出主题。从无数创作个体极为浓郁的精神探索意向，到整个文坛蔚为壮观的思想追寻气象，精神的求索在40年代取得了令人瞩目的成就。审视40年代的小说创作，常常感受到一种强烈的理性精神和深邃的历史感，感受到一种对创新意识、新鲜活力和平凡真纯的执著追求。40年代的小说创作不仅为以后更深广的精神探索预设了种种可能，而且以自己的优秀作品为实现这种可能提供了极有价值的先导。Spiritual exploration was a prominent theme in the creation of ficti ons in the 1940s. In that period, the strong desire of innumerable writers to ex plore and the splendid atmosphere among the whole literary circle to pursue made it possible for the spiritual exploration to make a remarkable progress. Lookin g into the creation of fiction in the 1940s, we could feel from time to time a s trong rational spirit and a deep sense of history, and be impressed by an insist ent pursuit of creative consciousness, new vitality, and simple purity and origi nality. The fiction creation in the 1940s not only paved the way for the further exploration in the future, but also provided invaluable guide for the realizati on of various possibilities with their own excellent works.
