摘  要:通过对蓄电池充电过程的分析和研究,指出影响蓄电池寿命的主要因素为过充。针对普通MH-Ni蓄电池充电器功能单一、无法有效防止过充等问题,提出一种新型充电器的电路设计方案。该电路采用MAXIM公司生产的专用充电芯片MAX712,通过灵活编程可对1~16节MH-Ni蓄电池以不同充电速率快速充电;当电池充满时,通过检测电压变化率为零结束快充,并立即转为涓流充电,可以确保充满并避免过充,从而有效地延长了充电电池的使用寿命。整个电路结构简单,性能完善。通过实际应用表现出安全、高效和节能的特点,获得了良好的使用效果。According to analyzing and studying the charging process of the batter y, this paper pointed out that overcharge is the main factor of influencing the life-span of the rechargeable battery. In accordance with the issues of the ordi nary battery charger, e.g., single function and unable to prevent overcharge eff ectively etc, a kind of new-type design plan of the nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries charge circuit was proposed. This circuit adopted the special-purpose chip MAX 712 produced by MAXIM Company, by which 1 to 16 series cells can be ch arged fast at different charge rate by flexible programming; when the battery is full charged, fast charge is terminated by detecting zero voltage slope, then t he device convert to trickle charge state immediately. It can guarantee that the battery is full and overcharge is avoided. Thus, the life-span of the battery i s lengthened effectively. The whole circuit has a simple structure, perfect perf ormance. Through practical application, the safe, high-efficient and energy-cons erving characteristics are shown, and excellent result is obtained .
