摘  要:报道了一种新型的、具有大模面积(LMA)的掺Yb3+ 双包层光子晶体光纤(PCF)激光器。光纤的长度约为5 m,光纤纤芯的直径为23μm,内包层的直径为420μm,数值孔径(对950 nm)为0.55。输出激光的中心波长为1 068.7 nm,激光最大输出功率为4.26 W。相对于入射的泵浦光,输出激光的转换效率为44.1%。实验结果表明,高功率激光输出存在着自脉动行为。A new kind large-mode-area double clad Yb3+-doped photonic crystal fiber laser was reported. A 13 W maximum output power multimode LD with 976 nm central wavelength was used as the pump source, long of 5 m large-mode-area double clad Yb3+-doped photonic crystal fiber was used as gain medium and the F-P cavity was formed by a dichroic mirror and the output face of the fiber in the experiment. The photonic crystal fiber has a signal core with a diameter of 23 μm and a large inner cladding with a diameter of 420 μm. The numerical aperture of the inner cladding is about 0.55 at 950 nm. The central wavelength of the output spectrum is 1068.7 nm, while the maximum output power of the fiber laser is 4.26 W. The conversion efficiency is 44.1% with respect to launched pump power. Self-pulsing behavior of the laser is observed.
