摘　　要：莎剧中的人性世界是原型人性与历史人性的融合,而宇宙元素(水、土、气、风、火、天)则构成其中一个层面,其中每一个宇宙元素都是人性世界的一个原型,它们的不同组合决定了莎剧人物不同的情欲世界。Human nature in Shakespeare's dramas is a blend of historical human nature and the original human nature,one aspect of which is composed of universe elements:water,earth,air,wind,fire and the sky.All these elements originate in substances of the instinctive world,and their different combination leads to character's different world of emotion and desire in Shakespeare's dramas.This paper analyses the symbolism of universe elements in Shakespeare's dramas,and offers an initial study of Shakespearan individuality in terms of instinct.
