摘　　要：“word”、“词”和“字”是英汉语中的三个基本概念。对比“word”与“词”、“word”与“字”,探讨它们的对应性和非对应性,揭示这些对应性和非对应性存在的原因,对于廓清概念及汉语和汉英对比研究都颇具意义。Word, Ci and Chinese character: are three fundamental concepts in English and Chinese. It is of great significance to make a contrast between Word, Ci and Chinese character, to list their correspondence and non-correspondence and to reveal the reasons for such relationships for the deeper understanding of these concepts in respect of Chinese studies and Chinese-English contrastive studies.
